1. Know Your Triggers
The first step is figuring out what allergens trigger the miserable allergy symptoms your family has to deal with. Indoor and outdoor allergens may require different responses. If the trigger is inside, opening the windows to air out the house is an important step to take. The cause may be something along the lines of pet hair, dust, or mould in this case. If the trigger is from an outdoor source, like grass or tree pollen, keep your windows closed.
2. Get Rid of Standing Water Sources

3. Trap the Dust – Don’t Move it Around

8. Remove Trapped Allergens

10. Change HVAC Filters Regularly
Filters should be changed at least every 6-12 months, but they should be changed more frequently if you have pets or allergies. It may come as a surprise, but the highest MERV rating is not necessarily the best option. Ratings too high can actually make things worse by reducing airflow. Most homes use filters rated between MERV 7-12.
